Shot on location in London and Hertfordshire for JWT London the pictures were art directed by Rob Spicer & writer Adam Griffin. A big thanks to creative director Russell Ramsey for his support, suggestions and commitment to this very worthy charity.

AOP Moving Image Award

The Association of Photographers Awards took place last Thursday in West London. A great night was had by all with an excellent exhibition of finalists showing in a large new space that was much needed.

I have “Stark Raving Mad” in this years “Non Commissioned Moving Image“ category. Moving image is a first for the AOP awards in 2011 and it is great to see film now included.

Foto8 Summershow 2011

I have two pictures in this years Photo8 show at the Host gallery.

The Foto8 Summershow is London’s greatest photographic spectacle, a veritable ‘salon de photographie’ – an inspiring array of framed and mounted images of all shapes and sizes, installed from floor to ceiling. London’s prestigious HOST Gallery in EC1 is the setting for the Summershow where 150 images will be exhibited: to be seen and judged by respected industry professionals from the photography, arts and media worlds. This year, the print exhibition will open on 8 July with our now famous launch party, with the exhibition continuing until the 12 August.

Personal work I shot for the Motor Neurone Disease Society has got into this year AP-AI Awards. The shots show various classical string players practicing without their instruments at everyday locations.

The shots were taken to raise awareness for a one off concert in July to raise money for this hard working charity.

It always gives me pleasure to support charities, but rarely does it give me such great pleasure as this one did. The Lads and Lassie's of London's JWT stripped off and bravely bared all to produce this calendar in support of Raleigh International.

JWT have supported this charity for the past 10 years by participating in the BMF Kinabalu Challenge in Borneo raising over £100,000 in the process. Well done to all.

More posters being shot for HSBC taking me on location in the UK and Spain. A real mix of location finding and casting which included casting babies, over weight 30 something Japanese men and about 50 bikini clad girls. Casting Japanese men in the UK, US and Japan was quite a challenge; Japanese men tend not to be overweight but we struck gold in Tokyo.
