Having spent 21 of the last 22 years in and around the Helford River Estuary, Manaccan, Godolphin, Carleen, Helston, Gweek and St.Ives to name but a few Cornish locations I thought it was time to document the extraordinary international artist community that populates Cornwall. The wealth of talent is vast, from Bafta winning film directors, painters, conceptual artists, book illustrators, educators and mentors is just scratching the surface of these hard working creatives. This is the beginning of a longer term project documenting though my portraiture the breadth of talent in Cornwall both new and established. Thank you all who sat for me for this first round of photography, you have all been so welcoming, warm, funny and inspiring.
